Everest Mani Rimdu Festival has been announced to be held from 8th to 10th Nov 2022.
Mani Rimdu Festival Trek is for those adventures who desire to make a cultural journey into the Everest Region with Sherpa Cultural and Monasteries view. Mani Rimdu Festival is renowned cultural festival that is celebrated for 3 days every year in Tengboche Monastries Solukhumdu district by Sherpa community who respect and revere the Guru Rinpoche and take blessing from the Guru Rinpoche for good health and long life. Monk will dance with the mask. The meaning of ‘Mani Rimdu’ is that ‘Mani’ means “part of the chant of Chenrenzi” (Avaloketeshwar) and ‘Rimdu’ means the small red pills that are blessed to all during the festival. It is a holy festival marking the victory of Buddhism (introduced by Guru Padmasambhava) over the ancient Bon religion or the victory of positivity over the negativity.
During the Mani Rimdu festival we through the lush alpine forest and wildlife raging glacial rivers and waterfalls, Mountains Monasteries etc, Mani Rimdu trekking continues to the foot of Mount Everest (8,848 meters), the Everest Base Camp. There is no place you would rather be than the Everest region as it is the tallest mountain of the whole world. Also, along with the tallest, there are other tallest mountains which reside in this region; Lhotse (8,516 meters), Makalu (8,481 meters) and Cho Oyu (8,201 meters). You will enjoy with the Sherpa village museums in Namche Bazar where we have 1 days rest. For the Mani Rimdu Festival Trek we start our journey with Lukla fight which is known world adventure airport and continue our trek , during the trek we pass through the villages forest also possible some time to see the Barking Deer, Musk Deer and Himalayan Thar.
Our given itinerary just to designed go for Mani Rimdu festival Trek but if you want or if you have time to make festival with Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Lake or Cho La Pass Trekking just inform to us for new itinerary. We will make your Itinerary in your request.
We Himalaya Trekking Team will pick up you from airport and transfer to your Hotel.
Today Early Morning we fly to Lukla it takes around 30m then we start our trek to Phakding which takes approximately 3/4 hours on the way you will have a view of Mt Nupla(5885m) Kusum Kangaru (6367m) and mount kongde range. Overnight in Phakding.
After Morning Breakfast we start our journey passing many suspension bridges with good view of Mt. Thamserku and we should entry our permit and will have lunch in Jorsalle. Then we start to climb steep up slowly passing high suspension bridge till Namche Bazar which takes about 2/3 hour. On the way we have a great view of Khwangde Range and Thamserku. Overnight at Namche
Today is our rest and acclimatization day in Namche Bazar so after breakfast, we visit Sagarmatha National Park and Everest View Hotel for a panoramic view of many mountains. In Namche where you can get ATM, Shops, and many bakeries and nice Coffee. Overnight at Namche.
Today we start our journey to famous palce Tyangboche with panoramic view of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and Ama Dablam also can see close view of Mt. Thamsarkhu. After crossing the Dudhkoshi river we need to walk slightly challenging uphill to Tyangboche after around 2 hours walking we reached to beautiful place Tyangbouche. Overnight at Tyangboche.
Mani Rimdu Festival is celebrated at Tengboche, Thame, and Chiwang Monasteries of Solukhumbu Nepal. This is a sacred ceremony and series of events of empowerment. It is a sequence of nineteen days of celebration, which concludes with three-day of public festival. Sherpa gets time to gather and celebrate this festival with monastic community. Lamas and Sherpa gather at the monastery for five days for the welfare of the world.
This day ,demons are quelled and the virtuous are rewarded. The monks wear elaborate mask, costumes’ and through a series ritualistic Lama dances, dramatize the triumph of Buddhism over Bon, The main first days of festival involves prayers, second day for colorful lama dancing, they wear brocade gown and wonderfully painted papier-mâché masks.
Last day is for some humorous dances and chanting prayers. Hundred of local people and foreign tourist attend the performance. You will be to see the real and ideal culture of Sherpa people and great Himalayan picturesque views.
After breakfast in Tengboche, you'll return to Namche Bazaar for lunch and any last-minute shopping before starting your hike down to Monjo.
The route takes you steeply down along the Dudh Kosi River. You'll cross the river and follow it to Jorsale, and then continue crossing the river a few more times to Monjo where you'll stay overnight
After breakfast in Monjo, begin the final day of the trek as you head along the Dudh Kosi river to Lukla. You'll first walk from Monjo to Ghat and stop for lunch before continuing to make your way through villages like Chumoa, Benkar, Phakding, and Chuthawa, eventually reaching the Pasang Lhamu Memorial Gate signifying the end of the trek. Though most of the route is an easy downhill slope, the last section of trail before arriving takes you uphill—a fitting way to finish.
With Lukla's handful of shops, bars, and cafes—and even a faux Starbucks!—there are plenty of things to occupy your time as you reflect on your experience.
After breakfast in Lukla, you'll take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu.
Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel and will be able to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure

01. Nepal Visa
You can get a visa in Kathmandu airport upon your arrival at USD 25 (or equivalent in other major currencies) for a 15 days visa, USD 40$ for a 30 days visa and USD 100$ for a 90 days Multiple visa, and you can also extend it later on if you wish. They have newly installed technology (visa machine) which makes it no longer necessary to have a passport photo.

Since we do not arrange the International flight tickets, Please book your international flight to arrive and depart from Kathmandu International airport. Which currencies are accepted in Nepal?
Some major currencies (USD, AUD and EURO) are accepted for both visa and in general. There are plenty of ATM's in both Kathmandu and Namche and credit cards are accepted in limited shops and many restaurants. Please note that only Nepali rupees are accepted on the trek.
03. When and where should you arrive?
You will arrive at Tribhuwan International airport in Kathmandu on the trip starting day or earlier. You will be received outside the Kathmandu international airport terminal gate by our representatives from Himalaya Trekking Team with your Name display board he will escorts you to at your booking Hotel.
04. How should we make payment?
Down Payment
As per the company's policy, minimum 20% of down payment from the total cost is required to make in advance to secure your spot and to confirm the trip.

06. Payment of the Balance
Rest amount can be paid before at least a month of your arrival. If you choose to settle your holiday balance by credit card a handling charge of 4% on the outstanding balance is made if possible better to bring cash.

08. Is there an Orientation program?
Generally, the orientation meeting is scheduled in the Kathmandu hotel at 4 or 5 pm and this will be informed by our representatives after your arrival. The tour starts with an orientation meeting and ends up after scheduled trip after the breakfast.
09. How large is each tour group?
For each tour date, there will be several separate groups. Each group will have a maximum of 12 people with its own experienced English speaking guide. During the trek, there will be a suitable number of porters to carry your luggage.
10. How many people in each room?
The cost of our trip is based on the twin-sharing basis so there will be two people accommodated in each room for the duration of the tour. If you prefer private accommodation or you are a solo traveler, you'll find the option for "single supplement". Additional USD 350 will be applicable as a Single Supplementary Charge for the single room during the trip.
11. Who will be leading the tours/treks?
Our local Nepali team is one of the most experienced, hospitable and respected trekking outfits in Nepal. The team is fully licensed and affiliated with the Trekking Agency's Association of Nepal (TAAN), Nepal Mountaineering Association, Nepal Tourism Board, Govt. of Nepal, Sustainable Tourism Network, Himalayan Rescue Association and Kathmandu Environmental Educational Project. You will be provided with the professional and an experienced English Speaking trekking guide with the good knowledge of the place and the trek. The trekking crew is skilled with the experience of over10 years, well-trained, friendly guide and, courteous and helpful porters, assured of a wonderfully memorable experience.
12. Porters
For the trek, we'll have one porter for two people or necessary Yaks as per group size. The porter will carry 10-12 kg per person luggage during the trek. You need to carry your daypack to keep your personal belongings such as wallet, camera, water bottle, dry snack, head light, gadgets etc , 2 trekkers have one porter.
