Physical Conditions and Experience Required for Trekking in Nepal

Basically, trekking in Nepal require moderate physical fitness level with strong determination and will power. No previous experience is required. You must be able to walk 5/6 hours a day in rugged mountain terrain of Nepal. You might encounter remote environment with extreme weather some days. Go in slow pace, hydrate sufficiently and acclimatize to stay away from altitude sickness. Jogging, running, swimming and leg cardio are the best form of exercise to gain stamina for trekking in Himalaya. You have to do it regularly for some weeks prior to your trekking trip. Past trekking and hiking experience counts but you don’t needs any technical skills. If you have any pre-existing medical issue like heart, lung and blood disease, you must consult doctor before embarking.
