Manaslu Larke Pass Trekking is a highly hazardous and more adventurous trekking route for trekkers. Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world and is located in the Mansiri Himal, part of the Nepalese Himalayas, in the west-central part of Nepal. Its name, which means "Mountain of the Spirit", comes from the Sanskrit word Manasa, meaning "intellect" or "soul". Manaslu was first climbed on May 9, 1956, by Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu.

The Manaslu Region offers a variety of trekking options. The popular Manaslu trekking route of 177 kilometres (110 mi), skirts the Manaslu massif over the pass down to Annapurna. The Nepalese Government only permitted trekking of this circuit in 1991. The trekking trail follows an ancient salt-trading route along the Budhi Gandaki river. Enroute, 10 peaks over 6,500 metres (21,300 ft) are visible, including a few over 7,000 metres (23,000 ft). The highest point reached along the trek route is the Larkya La at an elevation of 5,235 metres (17,175 ft). As of May 2008, the mountain has been climbed 297 times with 53 fatalities.

We just finished the Manaslu trek over Larke pass. It was a great experience and we enjoyed great weather and mostly warm temperatures during the day. Saroj, our trekking guide from Himalaya Trekking team, cared for all details and was always very attentive. He has a sound experience as trekking guide and knows this trek and the good places to stay very welll.
It took us 13 days from Arughat Bazar to Jagat, where the trails meets the new road, which leads to Besi Shahar. We would recommend to finish the trek here and to go by jeep to Besi Shahar, where buses take travelers to Kathmandu or other destinations.
The Himalaya Trekking Team offers a very professional service and helped us to also after the trek with the organization of transfers and hotel bookings. It's our second trip with O.M.Gurung and we can highly recommend his agency. Prices are very fair and always transparent.

Thank you so much to the team for such a fantastic trip. Right from the beginning they were very helpful and patient in responding to all our questions and itinerary changes. Excellent service with a warm welcome right from the airport. Highly professional, ensuring we were taken care of at all times. On the trek itself, we had Pasang Sherpa as our guide, who went above and beyond his duty to make sure we had everything we needed, with plenty of laughs on the way! Manaslu circuit trek was unbelievably special and we will never forget this trip. Thank you team!
