Lower Dolpo Trekking is a high-altitude region situated in the western part of Nepal in the upper part of the Dolpa district. Dolpo lies in the Shey Phoksundo National park of Nepal and is a very remote and untouched geographical region, and the whole region of Dolop is surrounded by a chain of the Himalayas which includes the Dhaulagiri 8,172m. This region is completely isolated from any development activities and the airport of Jufal is the only transportation mode that connects the Dolpo region with other parts of Nepal, from the airport it takes about three days to reach Dolpo by horse. This remote region of Dolpo is very sparsely populated which estimates at less than 5,000, people here are very traditional and their religion and language quite resemble the Tibetan Buddhist, actually, it is among the few areas where the per - Buddhist Bon Po religion is still practiced. Dolpo area is widely suitable for tourists interested in activities like trekking and mountain climbing.

Trekking in Lower Dolpo  is an amazing trekking expedition done in the lower region of the Dolpo, the trek takes us to the most magnificent and isolated landscapes of the western Himalayan zones. The main highlight of the trek is the Lake of Phoksundo and its waterfall, lying at the altitude of 3,627m this is the deepest lake in the entire Himalayan region. The completely remote location of the Doplo is home to a diverse variety of flora and fauna, the rugged and rough terrain throughout the area shelters various biodiversity, and has suffered few or none human interference. Very few tourists visit the region of Dolpo every year, traversing through the rocky and rough topography is really difficult but trekking in the region of Dolpo is an incredible lifetime adventure.
