We just finished the Manaslu trek over Larke pass. It was a great experience and we enjoyed great weather and mostly warm temperatures during the day. Saroj, our trekking guide from Himalaya Trekking team, cared for all details and was always very attentive. He has a sound experience as trekking guide and knows this trek and the good places to stay very welll.
It took us 13 days from Arughat Bazar to Jagat, where the trails meets the new road, which leads to Besi Shahar. We would recommend to finish the trek here and to go by jeep to Besi Shahar, where buses take travelers to Kathmandu or other destinations.
The Himalaya Trekking Team offers a very professional service and helped us to also after the trek with the organization of transfers and hotel bookings. It's our second trip with O.M.Gurung and we can highly recommend his agency. Prices are very fair and always transparent.

Трек вокруг Манаслу – замечательный и красивый маршрут с дикими пейзажами природы. Выбрала я его по причине отсутствия толп туристов на дорогах. Бурные реки, снежные вершины, леса с рододендронами, в целом, красивейшая природа Гималайских гор. В верхних деревнях можно увидеть нетронутые цивилизацией национальные Непальские дома, целые деревни живущие своей жизнью: печи топятся по черному, каменные постройки . Что касается самого маршрута… конечно, перевал Ларк пасс через ледник был очень сложный, но зато сколько положительных эмоций вылилось когда я наконец-то забралась на верхнюю точку ледника. Всем советую попробовать .
После я поехала на три дня в Читван, остановилась в резиденции Рино…она находится на границе национального парка…скажу честно, она оказалась одой из самых лучших среди тех что я там увидела .. бассейна на территории, хорошие номера, отличная еда и обслуживание. Было организованно сафари на слонах по джунглям… во второй половине дня мы поехали кататься по реке на лодках, крокодилы, павлины, обезьяны… затем мы побывали на ферме слонов и немного побродили по лесу.
Все было организованно на отлично. Огромное спасибо моему гиду ОБ, он всегда был заботливый и внимательный. Везде водил буквально за ручку так как я путешествовала одна.

We had a great time with OB and Utam duding us on this trek. The scenery of Mustang is incredibly beautiful, the locals are very friendly and welcoming and OB and Utam and their team members were simply outstanding. This was the first time I had been to Nepal and the first time I have done organised trekking. Himalaya Trekking Team were fantastic. Apart from the organisation being flawless, the team themselves were such a nice group of people. Never a frown. Always happy to assist in any way possible. I am not the most agile of people and when some of the tracks became challenging, one of the guides was always there to patiently assist me through the more difficult spots. Their local knowledge really added to the experience. The trek itself was awesome. We visited numerous temple complexes and the walled city of Lo Mantang was great. Our visit coincided with the Tigi Festival which was an experience in itself. On our return trek back to Jonsom, our team was advised that the airport would be closed the day we were due to fly out. Our guides managed to pull off what seemed to be impossible and organise transport to get us into Jonsom a day early and then were able to secure flights out and avoid a nasty bus trip. A super effort on the part of Himalaya Trekking Team. And the best part was that the team are all Nepalese so the money stays in the local community where it is most needed.More

A dream come true. OB and Uttam were great guides, always helpful and flexible, and our porters were terrific. Scenery was awesome, trekking lodges comfortable with good food, and weather fine and sunny almost every day. The festival is colourful and fascinating, and the various trips to monasteries well worth it. I would recommend this trek to everyone, you will not regret it. Chris Melbourne

After a 3rd Visit to Nepal and Mustang, I am about to book a 4th (yes, a 4th) with this incomparable boutique trek and sightseeing company. The quality of personal service is extraordinary. The Himalayan trekking team gave us the Ultimate Nepalese experience into Mustang. OB & Uttam & their team of porters made this epic tour a most memorable & fulfilling experience.
We had all connections, accomodation & meals sorted . We ventured on incredible mountain treks , visited remote villages , entered hidden cave temples & witnessed the vivid color & sound of the Tiji festival - all the while knowing that our guides were there to support us in this foreign land - thank you !

OB ane Uttam guided us on adventurous treks to the Tiji festival, from Jomsom to Lo Manthang. We stayed in interesting villages and guesthouse hotels along the way. Our hosts and our Nepalese porters were very helpful in carefully carrying our backpacks. We had magnificent mountains on every horizon, with amazing sunsets. Many western comforts were not always available, and communication with the outside world was limited, but this is due to the remoteness of the area. It was an experience we will never forget, and at a very reasonable cost.

Despite doing, at least, two serious hikes a year, going trekking to Nepal was never on my bucket list. But when a mate, who had used this trekking company last year to go to the Tiji Festival in Lo Manthang, called me and said that he was looked after so well that he wanted to go again, I said, 'OK. I'll come too.'
As it turned out, I had an experience of a lifetime but more on this company, nothing was an issue. On day 4, one of us, EJ, got sick and, hearing about the Buddhist burials, the rest of us had a conference that evening, if the worst happened, would we ask for a fire, earth or air burial. But by the next morning, our guides had mustered up a jeep to get EJ to our next overnight stop. How good was that?
Another time, we trekked a mile up a track and, like Mary & Joseph, we were told, 'There's no room in the inn.' So, after some deliberation, we trekked the mile back down to then pile into a 24 seater high-axled bus that drove on the dry river bed to a guest house down range. A week later, on the night before flying home from Kathmandu, we asked one of our guides, 'How come there was a bus in the middle of nowhere for us?' He just shrugged his shoulders and said, 'I called it in.' Like nothing was too hard for them to organise.
On another day, we were worried whether the high altitude was affecting us, so, the guides pulled out an oxygen saturation measuring gadget and we all checked ourselves. They were full of (good) surprises.

Our hosts OB Gurung and Uttam Atikari operated this 18-day tour out of Kathmandu for eleven trekkers and it was great. With the help of a really responsive and supportive crew of porters and partner guest-houses, this was a brilliant visit to a world-heritage-standard festival through amazing country. Good food and excellent value for money. While we did walk some steepish sections, the walk is moderate (it’s not mountain climbing!). A real treat, well done all and thank you OB and Uttam, you made it special.

A warm welcome right from the airport - our hosts Obi Gurung and Uttam Atikari guided our group of eleven trekkers on the 18 day (return) cultural tour - Kathmandu to Lo Manthang to experience the Tiji festival - fantastic!
Nothing is a trouble for Obi and Uttam they always went the extra miles to ensure all in our group had an enjoyable journey.

Himalaya trekking team is a highly ethical trekking company who donate a % of their fee to local community schools.
Their specialty is flexibility ; whatever challenges present in remote rural areas, they are able to seamlessly amend itineraries affected by climate and changing local conditions.
Messrs O B Gurung and Uttam Adhikari run a first class operation which is deserving of the highest praise and recommendation. I do plan a further trip to Nepal in 2019 and will consider no other operation

From the very first email to Mr Uttam I have been very impressed with how totally professional the Himalaya Trekking Team have been. We took the 2017 Tiji Festival trek to Upper Mustang, a trip that lasted two weeks. During that time Mr Uttam Mr OB Mr Suntar and the three required porters were an absolute pleasure to be with. We couldn't have found a more skilled, hard working, helpful and friendly group of guys to guide and look after us. I cannot recommend this company highly enough and would/will definitely give my friends at the Himalaya Trekking Team a call to arrange my next trek. Thanks again guys, love you all.

he Himalaya Trekking Team are a professional, organised team with a distinctly friendly, 'family feel.' We took a 2 week trek into Upper Mustang which was superb! Obi and Uttam together with the porters, make each trekking day a pleasure. Everything was well organised without it feeling like a 'military expedition.' Nothing was ever too much trouble, any request/need could be accommodated. We started the trek as a client and finished it feeling like a member of the Himalaya Trekking Team family. We will be using this wonderful group of people again for our next adventure.

This setup is "first class" in every way. . Their particular strength is to be able to tailor activities to specific interests of each and every member of their group, taking into account weather and often difficult issues such as the need to change transport arrangements as local conditions dictate. The principals, Obi and Uttam, together with their guides are considerate and knowledgeable. Nothing at all was a trouble. This was my 3rd trip to Nepal ; Himalaya Trekking Team are in my experience, simply "brilliant". I was, and continue to be surprised at the quality of service for such a modest price.

After two treks with OB-ji on the Annapurna circuit and to Gokyo, we just knew that there was no better person to take our 6-year-old on his first Nepali trek. So we naturally got in touch with Himalaya Trekking Team. Their response was just as expected: swift, friendly and efficient. Our 16-day trip to Upper Mustang was a bliss. Monsoon clouds meant limited views of the snowy summits. But we saw and experienced so much more thanks to OB-ji and Som-bhai. They not only took excellent care of us, always keeping a special eye out for our intrepid little son ( who quickly found in them two new best buddies). They took us places we would probably never have seen without them. Whatever came up, they always knew what to do. Cancelled flights? They got us up and down from Jomsom in one single jeep ride. Locked monastery we had walked such a long way to see? They found that elusive keyholder! OB-ji’s incredible local knowledge and Uttam-bhai’s expert backup in the Kathmandu office meant it was never a problem. There was always a solution. And a lot of laughter. All in all, so much fun! Not just for us, but for our son. To all parents who still wonder about bringing young kids along, I could not recommend Himalaya Trekking Team more: this is a family-business with genuine values, truly committed to providing the best service to their clients. Your kids are guaranteed memories that won’t fade away - and so are you!
Himalaya Trekking Team のOB(オビ)と伴にトレッキングに行くのは三回目。一回目はアンナプルナ周回、エベレスト・ゴキョー谷が二回目だ。子供が生まれてから今回の遠征計画まで六年のブランク。目的地はムスタング地方ロー・マンタン、問い合わせをメールでするとすぐにフレンドリーな返事が来た。16日間のコースは入場制限が課せられたチベット(中国)国境エリアをカグベニからロー・マンタンまで往復(一部周回)する。モンスーン到来後の8月半ばであったため、ヒマラヤの雪の山岳の多くは雲に隠れている日が多かったが、ガイドのOBとポーター役のソムのお陰で、単独行動では見れないような場所に案内され、忘れられない旅となった。彼らは宿や食事の手配等の世話だけでなく、我々の腕白坊主の遊び相手にもなってくれ大変感謝。ガイドやポーターの経験は大事で、予想外の事象が発生した際の対応スピードを左右する。我々も何度も彼らに助けられた。ポカラ～ジョムソム間のフライトが悪天候でキャンセルされると判断すると即代わりにジープでの移動をアレンジ、限られた日程を無駄にすることなく完遂。また、ローにおいても、目当ての寺院では僧侶達がピクニック(!)に行ってしまい閉鎖されていたものの、つてをたどって仏閣の鍵の持ち主を探し当て、我々の為だけに一時開場してもらい六百年前に遡る仏教壁画を見ることもできた。ともあれ、毎日楽しく過ごせたのはOBとソムのお陰だ。小さい子供同伴でも全く問題ない。彼らのレギュラーなクライエントにも子連れの家族がいくつかいるそうで、ムスタング地方以上の遠隔地へもガイドしたことがあるとの事。家族連れをお考えの方にもお勧めできる。

We have recently completed our trekking to Upper Mustang Kingdom of Mustang, The trip was supper one, My Guide has well knowledge about the history of Mustang . The trek took us through amazing scenery desert, this trek is different then others Himalaya Trekking. We Visit many monasteries during the trek there is so interesting story and very old monastery. Our tea house was clean nice and food was so good.
Himalaya Trekking Team organize very well our trip. They make everything very easy for us no we don’t have any difficult to do this trekking. Defitnately we will back again in Nepal and go with Himalaya Trekking Team. Thank you, Mr. Uttam & Mr. Ob, for your kind support to us. We will highly recommended about your service to our friends. My friends and I just finished our 20days trip to EBC and summited Island peak. It became one of best time in my life. All I did was just enjoyed trekking in the most popular trail in the world and the rest of the trip Obb and Uttam took care for us. While Obb is a trully gentleman, Uttam is kindly and funny guide. He is always behind your back and support anything you need. We 've already have a great time.
