Paragliding in Pokhara is very challenging and adventurous sky sports activity which is interesting as well mountain and natural views. Nepal is in the form of a narrow rectangle nestled on the southern slopes of the Himalayas and without doubt has some of the most stunning scenery imaginable. This would be one of the most desirable places to paragliding you could ever wish for.
The main area for paragliding is in the Pokhara Valley and recently another area near Kathmandu has become popular. The reason Pokhara is so exciting is the unsurpassed views of three peaks soaring above 8000m, and the magnificent Machapuchchhre 6993m. (Fishtail Mountain). November, December and January are usually the best months for paragliding in Nepal. These months normally have good weather which provides excellent views of the crisp clear Himalayas, the beautiful valleys and the lush jungle. Soaring at 700m or higher you will have an adrenalin rush along with a most memorable scenic vista.
Launch sites around the Phewa Lake area are popular; especially Sarangkot Hill, which provides stunning views from 700m above Pokhara.
